Romans 15

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. Romans 15:4 NIV

The Bible is God’s message to us.  It is God explaining to us the best way to live our lives to ensure that we are blessed and productive.  It is God telling us and showing us how much He loves us and what we need to do to maintain a close relationship with Him.  It is God describing some of the difficulties we will face in life, which helps us to either avoid them or learn how to be victorious when they come our way.  It is God informing us of what is to come in the future, which brings all believers hope.  Every Scripture was intentionally written down and has a purpose for being a part of the Bible.  When you are reading your Bible this week, ask God to enlighten you.  Search for what He is trying to teach you and how you can apply it to your life. “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says” (James 1:22).  The Bible is the most direct way of being able to understand what God wants us to know and what He wants us to do while we are on this earth.  Make sure to take advantage of this priceless, life-changing gift from our Heavenly Father.  Life would not be the same without it!
