Genesis 6
When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.” Genesis 6:1-3
God allowed the people of Noah’s day 120 years to change their sinful ways. He shows great patience with us too. We must remember that no matter how sinful this world gets, and no matter how sinful a particular person may seem, that no one is beyond God’s reach. The main reason He has not returned for us yet, and fulfilled His promise, is that He wants everyone to have a chance to return to Him. “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9). Who among your friends and family do not know Jesus yet? Offer up fervent, pleading, persistent prayers, that their hearts will change and be open to the Truth! He is waiting for them. Believe that anyone can repent and change. No one is beyond His reach!
