Genesis 24
Then the man bowed down his head and worshiped the Lord. And he said, “Blessed be the Lord God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken His mercy and His truth toward my master. As for me, being on the way, the Lord led me to the house of my master’s brethren.” So the young woman ran and told her mother’s household these things. Genesis 24:26-28 NKJV
After Abraham’s servant Eliezer found Rebekah, he immediately thanked God for answering his prayer. When Eliezer told his story to Laban and his family, he shared openly about God and his goodness. We should be willing to openly share what God is doing for us. Jesus gave us The Great Commission and said: “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18–20) One of the most effective ways to fulfill this great commission is to tell others about what God has done for you. Our job is not to make others believe; only the Holy Spirit can do that. Our job is to introduce them to Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:18), make sure that they have a proper understanding of who He really was and is, and also what He has done for all of us.
