Acts 10
This chapter marks a major turning point for the Christian church. Up until this time, only Jews were allowed to be Christians since they were God’s chosen people. This miraculous story is a clear indication that this misconception needed to be abolished. God showed Peter (and us) that salvation through Jesus Christ is for everyone, regardless of ancestry. Paul tells us in Romans 1:16:“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” The all-inclusive nature of the Christian faith is one of the things that shows the breadth and magnitude of God’s love.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). The Holy Spirit and the gift of salvation is truly available to anyone who chooses to put their trust in Jesus. Thank you, God, for your limitless and eternal love!
